Artist Nickolay Lamm of MyDeals.com used CDC measurements of an average 19-year-old woman to create a 3-D model, which he photographed next to a standard Barbie doll. Lamm then photoshopped the 3-D model to make it look like a Barbie doll.
I do not think that changing the size of Barbie will change how some people feel about themselves. I think having a positive body image is important. Parents need to help their children develop a healthy self-esteem and positive body image. A 'doll', Barbie is not to blame for how we feel about ourselves. It all starts from within. We must learn to love the skin we're in regardless of our size, shape, height, race or age. Embrace who you were created to be. #SavetheBarbie
