BIO Omony was born in the war-torn region of northern Uganda. Her family fled to Canada in 1991. Through life altering situations, Omony has persevered. She was discovered at sixteen by a Model Scout in high school. After being introduced to the fashion world, Omony discovered her passion for humanitarian work and producing TV shows. Omony studies Communications and Culture. She was the first producer to have her very own Talk-Show on ShawTV Channel 10, 'The Sunday Omony Show'. Omony is also the first plus-size model to speak for TED Talks. Thousands have been inspired by her positive message and desire to help people realize their potential.

COMMUNITY LEADERSHIP AND AWARDS Omony is deeply involved in her community – founding a non-profit organization in 2004 called Immigrant Youth Empowerment Society. She is involved with Unicef and the United Nations Association of Canada. Awarded a Woman of Vision Award by Global News and Community Leadership Award by the University of Calgary. Through her work as a plus-size model, Omony has become an advocate for positive body image and women’s empowerment. She speaks at schools to teens promoting healthy self-esteem and leadership. The Heart Truth Fashion Show Red Dress named her a Celebrity Model in support of the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
